Here's a sample of the type of thing I've been up to recently and some oldies. Enjoy!

Nancy J Brown
Here's a couple of tracks from Nancy J Brown's latest C.D. I had one of the nicest times recording this. Nancy is also from Leeds so we clicked right from the start. I also love playing with Neil Angilley (Piano) and Chris Dodd (Bass); just brilliant musicians. Ace!

A couple of funky ones here. My studio wasn't up and running at the time so I recorded these drum tracks in my old bedroom!

Zimbe!
Here's the title track of Zimbe! This was a project I recorded, mixed and played percussion on. Alexander L'Estrange wrote this piece and to date, has been performed over 100 times by choirs all over the world. Check out www.zimbe.net for more info.

L'Estrages In The Night
Recently I recorded Alexander L'Estrange and Joanna Forbes L'Estrange's latest album in my studio. It's a mixture of Michel Legrande tunes and originals. The C.D. "New Things To Say" will be launched at Pizza Express Dean Street London on Sun 27th Jan 2013. Check this cheeky one out. I'm playing bongos, bells and clave.

Deep Fill
This is a track from my band Deep Fill; named after the service station sandwiches one lives off when on the road. This is a tune I wrote with Chris Kibble (piano) to remember a friend of ours who used to work at the 606 Club in Chelsea; Christophe.
A great tune to play on gigs where everybody gets a blow.

The Swingle Singers
I arranged Tom Scott's theme from the 70's cop show, 'Starsky and Hutch' for the Swingle Singers. It's the same sort of arrangement I used to do with my band, Deep Fill. It was a lot of fun writing for eight voices and incorporating beatboxing, hence the name of the CD on which it features; Beauty and the Beatbox.
Gotcha!

Graeme Flowers Band
This track was recorded first take. Graeme is one of my favourite musicians to play with because his sense of rhythm is really strong and at the forefront of most of his ideas. Great for a drummer to play around.
There's a drum solo at the top of this tune. Check out the circus style plate spinning snare drum roll (as the brilliant Chris Bestwick pointed out) at the beginning :-)

Here's a nice little track I recorded with timabales. A rare occurrence of a timbale solo on a pop album!

Terry Seabrook does a great arrangement here of Jeannine (Duke Pearson) from the album Now Hear This. Yes, there's a drum solo....

Clocks and Dark Clouds
My studio buddy Simon McKechnie decided he wanted to do a ProgRock C.D. Quite challenging to play actually, with lots of funny groupings and polyrhythms. The final mixes were mastered by the guy who did 'Who are you?' by The Who.
